Linoleum Cut Prints

The students in Art II worked with Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) student teacher William Barr to complete a study of printmaking using linoleum blocks to create an 8″ x 10″ print. The students the chose subject matter for their design, but had to include the principle of rhythm to establish movement in their collage. After carving their design in the linoleum, at least one test print was made followed by an edition of at least three prints with the best of the three turned in for grading. Below are several examples of prints from the 4th hour class.
