AP & Atelier Portfolios Available to View and The Annual Art Extravaganza

The 2017 – 2018 AP Studio Art and Atelier students completed their portfolios last week, with the AP Studio students submitting a portfolio of 24 works to the College Board and the Atelier students completing 15 new works, as well as a 10-hour arts internship.

This group of students is undoubtedly the most successful AP classes in regard to awards, scholarships, artwork exhibitions, and overall recognition, and will no doubt be just as successful in passing their portfolio reviews. These students have worked extremely hard this year, so take the time to view each student’s portfolio and their amazing work!

The “Breadth” section of the portfolio presents the ability to work in a wide range of skills and media. The “Concentration” section is a sustained investigation of 12 artworks that focus on a specific topic of study. Descriptions of each Concentration precede the body of Concentration artwork created by both AP and Atelier.

The annual Art Extravaganza is this Friday, May 18 from 5:30 to 8:00 pm in the Yukon High School Rotunda. Work from the Art I, Art II, Art III, Art IV, AP/Atelier, and Ceramics will be on display. Refreshments will be provided.
