The AP Studio Art class recently completed the grueling task of creating 24 works of art for their AP Portfolio review. For the “Breadth” section of the portfolio, the students explored a variety of art making techniques and methods, while the “Concentration” section allowed the students to focus on a specific thesis or message through the use of visual communication. Descriptions of each “Concentration” precede each students’ body of Concentration artwork. This year’s AP Studio class consisted of two different realms of study; Drawing & Painting and 2D (photography).
The 2016 – 2017 class has been one of the most successful AP classes in regard to awards, artwork exhibitions, and overall recognition, and will no doubt be just as successful in passing their portfolio reviews. These students have worked extremely hard this year, so be sure to take the time to view each students’ portfolio and their amazing work!
