Upcoming Art Events on the University of Oklahoma Campus

The OU School of Art & Art History invites high school students to attend a ceramics session on OU’s campus next Friday. OU has two exciting events happening this fall, Fuego Friday and Sooner Saturday.

Fuego Friday: Friday, Oct, 25

7:00-10:00 pm: Ceramic demonstrations & kiln firing events.*

*Pre-made ceramic pots are available for advance purchase for $15-$30. Visitors should arrive early to glaze their pot and prep it for firing. Please contact Stuart Asprey at stuart(Replace this parenthesis with the @ sign)ou.edu for more information.

Sooner Saturday: Saturday, Nov. 23

8:30 am: University browsing at the Oklahoma Memorial Union

11:00 am-3:00 pm: Open House at the School of Art & Art History

Registration is required for Sooner Saturday but no registration is required for attending the School of Art & Art History Open House. Our Open House will offer students portfolio reviews, guided tours of our facilities, information about the programs and scholarships we offer, and more! *Both Fuego Friday and Sooner Saturday are open to groups, individual students, teachers, and parents and are come-and-go events.*
