The OAI (Oklahoma Arts Institute) 3-Minute Video Contest starts TODAY! Click here for the full call for entries and contest rules.

Do you like to make movies with your phone or tablet?  Can you tell a story? No technical experience is necessary to be a part of the first-ever Oklahoma Arts Institute 3-Minute Video Contest! All you need is internet access and a camera, phone, or mobile device.

There is no fee to participate, andthe winner receives automatic acceptance into the 2014 Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain (OSAI) film & video program,as well as automatic acceptance into the 2014 deadCENTER Film Festival.

But that’s not all! First place receives a $300 Amazon gift certificate, second place receives a $200 Amazon gift certificate, and third place receives a $100 gift certificate. You can’t afford to pass up this opportunity to give movie-making a shot!

Students will have one week to create their videos, starting January 20. Click HERE for full contest rules. We can’t wait to see what you make!

New iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad App

There is a new app for this website available for iPhone users! In order to get the app follow these directions:

photo 3 First, pull up www.mrpayne.org using Apple’s Safari web browser on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. Then tap on the little icon in the middle of the box with an arrow coming out of it.

 

 

 

 

 

photo 2A screen with a bunch of buttons will appear including: Add Bookmark, Add to Reading List, Add to Home Screen, Mail Link to this Page, Tweet and Print. Tap on Add to Home Screen button.

 

 

 

 

 

photo 1 Lastly, you will see the new app icon. You can rename the app or stick with “YHS Art.” Click the “Add” button and your new app is now on your home screen!
